Bhavnagar is a lovely costal town of Gujarat, and has a flourishing business of Diamond Polishing and Ship-Breaking. The people are devoted and nice. One of the awesome things about the city is that it has a 200 acres of dense forest in the center of the city. It has well-protected areas for wild animals and obviously there are lots of tree birds. People take pride in this awesome heritage and protect it fiercely from builder lobby. This park is under the control of Forest Department, who open it for just some limited time for morning walkers. It is a creation of the erstwhile rulers of the Bhavnagar state. We wish such a forest patch, a green-lung, is present in all cities. We also saw various water birds in & around the city.
